Sajek is a ridge-top settlement in the Kasalong range at about 1,800 ft (550 m), in Sajek union of Baghaichhari upazila, Rangamati, although almost everyone reaches it through Khagrachhari. Known as the 'roof of Rangamati', it is famous for clouds drifting below the cottages of Ruilui Para at dawn, the Konglak Hill viewpoint, and Lushai, Tripura and Chakma villages. The coordinate here is Ruilui Para, the tourist ridge (cross-checked against OSM's Ruilui and Konglak Para nodes); the English Wikipedia infobox point (23.635, 92.49) lies some 30 km north-east in the same union and is not the place visitors go.

From the end of the monsoon through winter the mornings are clear and cool, cloud seas settle below the ridge, and the jeep road is dry; the Kasalong hills stay green through November.
Weather caution
June-September monsoon brings landslides and road closures on the Dighinala-Baghaihat-Sajek road, the escort convoy can be cancelled after heavy rain, and solid cloud hides the view. December-January nights on the ridge drop close to 10 C, so pack warm layers.

Getting there from Dhaka
Overnight bus from Dhaka to Khagrachhari (Shanti, Shyamoli, Hanif, Econo; 7-8 hours, arriving at dawn), then a 'chander gari' jeep about 70 km via Dighinala and Baghaihat; the army escort convoy leaves Baghaihat twice a day (around 10:30 and 15:00) and it is 2-3 hours to Ruilui Para.
